Easter 2009

My Five Boys

Ok. Ok. It has been a long time since I have wrote about my Five Boys. I was looking at the old pics of Levi from Christmas and he has gotten so big since that day. Well life is good. It is summer and the boys are swimming daily. They love the pool.
Brad is working like crazy. He has to be there at 7am. Any one who knows him knows that that is a stretch. I don't know how he stays in the hot sun all day. He is my hero. He is also busy working with the youth group. We are going canoeing this Saturday. Oh and tomorrow we are going to the spa and to eat together. I am so looking forward to a day with him and no kids.
Chandler has been busy this summer. He went to summer camp for a week, and spends the night with friends and family as much as he can. Now that I have a DS he always tries to get me to race him on some game. Of course he beats me. He is so good at those games. He is also getting ready to play football in the upcoming year. I am so excited. Everyday I can tell he is getting closer to being a teen. He is arguing more than ever, but it is more than that, he just seems to be getting cooler.
Ethan is just a great kid. I think daily that he is just like the stories I hear of Brad as Kid. He loves to have fun and is very playful. Everything is a joke or a dance. We were watching videos of him last night of playing guitar when he was like 3. He was so cute. He makes me laugh everyday.
Levi is just the greatest baby ever. He always wears a smile and he is growing larger everyday. He is getting out of that baby stage. We can not eat without feeding him. If we are eating he will not eat his food only ours. I should lose 10 ponds just sharing my food with him. He also has 7 little chompers (teeth). He also started crawling. A little late, I know. But we are all the more thrilled with our little guy.
I am getting close to the end of school. I have barely less than 300 hours left, until I get through. I can't wait.
We also got a new kitten. his name is Max and he is a playful little guy. Yes, it is another Boy. I am still not sure how I keep ending up with boys.

2 days after Christmas

The house is still a mess and my belly is still full, but the Christmass season is coming to an end. This is always a sad time for me. After all of the hussle and bussle of trying to get everyone's presents and running here and there, the Christmas decor is 50% off, and people are taking down their lights, HOW SAD! However, I got everything I asked for (a nintendo DS and a new camera.) The kids got a ton o junk (it looks like Santa threw up in my living room) and Brad got an ecclectic array of gifts. We are looking forward to the new year as well. We are planning all the things that we are going to do differently this year. This includes not eating out in January, and my personal goal to lose about 20 lbs. We would also like to start building a house.

Today is Levi 5 month b'day. He has recently found his feet. He now loves to pull on them and play with them. The other day he also (by accident) took his pacifier out of mouth and then put it back in. Is he amazing.

Ethan explained to me recently that the trinity was not one person. He said that it was three people who were all God and who got scrambled all together. He told me that the Holy Spirit lives inbwteen my two hearts. Yes, he thinks I have two hearts. He also thinks I feed the baby with my two hearts.

Chandler is doing great as well. He got the ripstick that he wanted along with other games and toys.

In the end we had a great Christmas season, with very little drama, which is unusual for us.

Thanksgiving 2008 The "Whole" Family

Christmas in 10 days

With Christmas almost here we are busy with Christmas plays, shopping, illness, and of course the baby and the puppy, decorating the tree, and wrapping presents. It is exhausting just listing it all. This time of the year is so busy, however, we have some down time planned as well. As I say that Brad is asleep right next to me. We are going to my mom's house to make cookies and candy tomorrow night.

Update on Little Levi- He is growing like a weed. He weighed 13 lbs. and 12 ozs. and was 26 ins. long at his last visit. He laughs constantly and loves to suck his thumb. He is such a sweet baby.

Chandler went to his first study group at his friend's house. They were studying for 9 weeks test in science. I am so proud. With his ripe age of 11 he asked me today what a **** was. I won't repeat the word, but it definitely caught me by surprise. He told me that his friend at school said Moby Darn, because you could not say his last name because it was a bad word. Chandler could not understand why he shouldn't say this word. It reminded me of when he couldn't understand why God would not want him to hold up his middle finger. Oh the things they learn at school.

Ethan is sick this week. We have taken him to the doctor, but they concluded that it was a "virus." He is so miserable with fever and sleepiness. Also, we are trying to work with Ethan on not calling his brother names. He is at a time in his life when he states very clearly what he thinks of his big brother. Names such as "big baby" and "Liar."

Brad is trying to work in construction, which is tough with the weather and the economy. He is getting ready for his Christmas play. He is playing in the praise band.
I (Julie) am taking a break from school. We are on break for a few weeks. Beginning in January life will get crazy with clients and classes. For now I am trying to sleep late when I can and take naps as necessary. I also plan on reading two books. The Shack and a book on how to tell your kids about sex. I will get back on how that one goes.
